Amie’s formal education includes a Masters of Social Work degree from Springfield College, as well as over 13 years of post-graduate/ongoing trainings and learning, including but not limited to: Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (currently a trainer), and Organic Intelligence Coaching Certification (currently serves in a faculty role).
Amie Summers, LICSW, SEP serves her community as a clinician working with clients of all ages, as a parent and professional consultant, and a trainer of mental health practitioners around the world. The express intention at the center of Amie’s work is to support clients in moving in the direction of a better-feeling life and relationships. She is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, and feels privileged to support those connected with the military, law enforcement, and first-responder communities.
Amie's greatest teachers are her three young children – experts in living joyfully in the here-and-now. She recognizes that along with the challenges of parenting (and they are aplenty!) come some of our most important opportunities for growth, playfulness, deep gratitude, and becoming more of who we’re meant to be.
