Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor- Supervisor
Loveland OH
I work with adolescents, adults and couples in person in 50 minute sessions. Occasionally, if needed, I will do 75-100 minute sessions. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy dosing sessions are 3 hours. In the case of illness, I will occasionally do phone sessions. I have a bias towards in person because I believe it builds the quality of the therapeutic relationship. So much of our brain is wired for attachment and picking up unconscious and semi-conscious micro expressions and movements in the people we are with. This is much harder to do through a screen.
Undergraduate Degree in Cultural Anthropology. Fascinated with the diversity of human experience! Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor focused on providing individual, couples and family counseling for adolescents and adults. Broad range of experience with depression and anxiety disorders, ADHD, phobias, OCD, eating disorders, couples work - including sexual challenges, and interpersonal conflict. I also do Adolescent therapy in the context of family therapy. Specializing in working with victims of sexual trauma, religious trauma, PTSD and Complex PTSD. Extensive training and certification as a Psychedelic Assisted therapist. This modality includes incorporating ketamine, psilocybin and MDMA, prescribed and monitored by a medical professional, with psychotherapy integration before and after dosing sessions. (Looking forward to future legalization of MDMA and psilocybin for safe, psychotherapeutic use) There is a plethora of research documenting the efficacy of psychedelic assisted therapy in treating end of life, post partum, major depressive disorder and bipolar depression and anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. KAP is also effective in couples counseling, helping couples get 'unstuck'. Passionate about equipping parents to protect their children from sexual abuse and in equipping parents to talk to their children about sexual development and sexual issues. Want to partner with parents and care givers to give the most accurate age appropriate information so that kids can develop healthy shame-free attitudes toward their own individual sexuality and be empowered to protect themselves from sexual manipulation and abuse. Enjoy supervising and supporting counseling graduate students. Extensive experience in women's ministry, leading small groups, planning and facilitating retreats and large meetings.
