There is nothing wrong with you, yet society conditions us to believe the contrary. Healing happens through experience, and having a consistent, non-judgmental ear can help you see things in a new light. Together we may talk, move, create and explore your feelings. I will respectfully guide you through your emotions so that you can reconnect to the source and gain greater meaning in life. Using an existential approach, I help you uncover your truth and guide you toward embodiment.
I am a TCK (third culture kid) and came to the counseling profession by way of my own lived experience. Rather than trying to change the world, I realized that personal relationships are what power societal change over time. When I’m not helping others, I’m exploring other cultures, riding my bike, and playing music. I love the natural beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer, as well as the mix of culture and nature that is unique to Seattle. Before working in private practice, I was a therapist for adolescents and adults in the community mental health environment, where I worked with a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic populations. In another life, I lived and worked abroad for a number of years—as a Peace Corps volunteer, a journalist, and an explorer. Being a therapist is a second career for me, and it’s an honor to do this deep work alongside you.
I hold space in my kink-friendly, poly/ENM-affirming practice for people of all stripes. Outside of that, I lead an 8-step recovery group for marginalized individuals at a sober living community. I also offer psychedelic integration sessions and EMDR intensives to help you through stuck points as you reap the benefits of plant medicine in your daily life.
