So I'm real with you and not afraid to be moved emotionally by you and your wounds and dreams. I'm also not afraid to share my story, weaknesses, and pain when appropriate.
I am guided by your innate wisdom. We work together to find a path to optimal health by using the combined efforts of our inner healers and my clinical experience. I drawn on multiple therapeutic modalities along the way. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is one of the modalities we can draw upon. I guide you through each journey by being attuned to both your psychological and spiritual experience. Together we create a safe and warm environment that calls upon your world view and traditions during each ketamine journey.
Before founding Cottonwood Counseling Center in 2008, I was a trauma flight nurse in Denver Colorado. The physical and emotional trauma that I experienced during these years was at first invisible, but then it introduced me to the suffering that unresolved trauma can have in one's life. Depression ensued as did maladaptive coping behaviors. Now I am finding healing, in great part, because of the transforming effect of psychedelic therapy, and an excellent therapist. I have a passion for combining the most empirically validated modes of therapy with unrelenting compassion, acceptance, and love, to foster my client's growth.
I hold a degree in nursing from the University of New York, Plattsburgh, A Masters of Arts in Counseling, and I have done doctoral work from the university of Denver/Illif School of Theology. I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and I also hold a Level 3 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) credential. I have completed PRATI's training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. This simply means that I draw upon multiple methods of healing and recovery when we work together.
