Perinatal/Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are an understudied and misunderstood concern that affects many new parents. One in 7 women may experience postpartum depression in the year after birth. Traditional treatments are limited and have unknown consequences on the developing child. These disorders affect many new mothers and can have a profound impact on their family systems.
Interest in psychedelic medicines and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is growing. More and more studies are examining the benefits of psychedelics in a host of mental and physical illnesses.
