Biography

I hold a B.A. in Social Welfare with a minor in Religious Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have worked in a diverse array of clinical settings over the past six years, primarily serving those living with addiction, mood disorders, and complex trauma.

Currently, I have a private practice in San Francisco and also work at as a psychotherapist at nonprofit serving sex workers. I am passionate about re-visioning the current paradigm for healing people who live with psychological dis-ease, and helping to make entheogenic medicines a legal and accessible option for treatment. I’m a co-author on a psychedelic research publication (link).
I am an advocate for harm reduction initiatives, drug policy reform, and cognitive liberty. In addition to work within the “psychedelic renaissance” as a former staff member of Women’s Visionary Council and current board member of ERIE (Entheogenic Research, Integration & Education), I have been privileged to have worked with and learned from indigenous healers in South America. In the spirit of reciprocity, a portion of my fees for integration work go towards organizations benefiting indigenous healers in the Amazon.

How I work with clients

My approach as a therapist is influenced by advanced training in body oriented (somatic) psychotherapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and contemplative psychology, as well as through my work with plant medicines. I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds in a variety of clinical settings for the past six years including work with Veterans & those living with complex trauma. Therapy with me is collaborative & non-judgemental. Whatever you bring with you is welcome.
