Psychedelic integration therapy and counselling helps you make sense of, or prepare for, psychedelic experiences.
I provide harm reduction information and integration support to people who have experienced, or are curious about, psychedelics such as psilocybin, ayahuasca, and MDMA.
Psychedelic integration therapy provides an opportunity for you to discuss and integrate the benefits of your experiences, whatever they may be.
I have been exploring my own personal growth and providing counseling to individuals and couples for more than twenty years. My belief is that no amount of intellectual learning can replace the exquisite richness and nuanced growth and expansion gained through personal experience. Intellectual learning provides the structure, personal experience and integration fills the space.
I came to this work at 44 years of age through my own emotional crisis, struggling with my self-image, my personal relationships, and having thoughts of suicide. Through the safety of counselling, I began working through the traumas that had accumulated in my life and began to experience a freedom that prior to counselling I did not know was possible. Since beginning my own process of healing, I have taken a deep dive into self-awareness and the nature of relationships, exploring the benefits of many personal growth workshops, individual counselling, and building on an education degree from UBC to complete a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from UVic in 2006.
Professional trainings and therapeutic modalities that I have studied and integrated into my practice include many years of Somatic Experiencing, Touch Work with a focus on developmental disruptions, trauma recovery, self-regulation skills, and resilience, DARe (Dynamic Attachment Repatterning experience), Couples Counselling, Therapsil - Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as many one day and online trainings in various aspects of professional development.
Some of the group modalities that I have found support and growth through are Enlightenment Intensives, Iyengar Yoga, Lay-counselling training, Crisis Line training, Vipassana mediation retreats, Men’s retreats, Body Electric, 5Rythyms dance, Ayahuasca ceremonies, Psilocybin ceremonies, Holotropic Breathwork, Bioenergetics, and Psychedelic Integration Circles.
