We will look at your experiences thus far on your journey and figure out the origin story for some of these less-than-useful coping strategies and lessons. When you understand this you can decide what to do with them; modify them, update them or scrap them for something new. You’ll be able to see how earlier experiences keep playing through your mind, psyche, body, nervous system, relationships and worldview. Your higher self can now take the wheel. When you’re unaware, it is as if the old traumas and out-of-date coping strategies are driving the bus of your life from the back seat and can make a mess of things.
Once you, your higher centered self, takes the wheel of your life then we figure out how to keep you in the driver's seat. I believe that when you are in your centered self you are able to access your inner healer; your intuitive knowing that we all possess. You will learn ways to heal, connect with self, discover your truth, soothe your nervous system, modify old thought habits, and communicate differently coming from this space within you.
I believe that psychedelics can take us well beneath our thinking mind, opening access to a level of our body and psyche where early wounding often lives and where our intuitive healing self is. I believe this can be Spirit level work and will hold it in sacred reverence with ceremony that is crafted together and meaningful to you.
I think you’ll find me to be a very curious, kind of quirky, open-minded person with a patient nature. Qualities that have served me well in traditional Psychotherapy and certainly serve me well as a Psychedelic Facilitator.
Discovering Psychedelics as a healing modality has breathed new life into me personally and professionally. I had been practicing traditional Psychotherapy for 20 years or so, specializing in anxiety, trauma and attachment wounding. There seemed to be a deeper level that talk therapy and EMDR has a hard time getting to if ever. I'd had some pretty transformative experiences myself with psychedelics and learned of new opportunities in 2020 with the start of my education in ketamine assisted psychotherapy. I utilized the captivity of the pandemic lockdown to deep dive into psychedelic healing both academically and personally. It has been a great expansion for me and I am excited to share this with you.
I grew up in Michigan and left after college to chart my own course. I come to Colorado by way of Phoenix, Arizona where I got a Masters in Clinical Social Work in 2002 and St Louis, Missouri where I worked with adjudicated youth and their families as they transitioned out of residential treatment and was first licensed LCSW in 2005. In Colorado I’ve worked for Jewish Family Service, Vive! Family Support, started my private practice and my family. I’m so glad I kept going because I love it here!
