Individual psychotherapy is about YOU in the ways that you need it to be.
Right now, you might not even know what you need, but that’s ok because I will figure it out with you. I start out with a screening call to determine if we are a good fit, and then an intake/assessment to determine what your goals are and how we can work towards them. Then we work together on a treatment plan.
Healing happens within the collaboration between you and the therapist. Psychedelic-assisted healing occurs between you, the medicine and the therapist or facilitator. Your therapy will not be like anyone else’s because it will be uniquely yours. Psychedelic-assisted therapy is not just about the substance being used; in my practice your therapy, including the integration, is the primary focus.
I partner with a company called Journey Clinical for ketamine-assisted therapy. A medical professional from Journey handles the medical portion of the treatment, and I handle the therapy part. Dosing sessions utilize sublingual ketamine.
Therapy sessions are usually scheduled on a weekly basis.
KAP preparation and integration sessions, as well as "regular" therapy sessions, are 50-55 minutes long. Ketamine-assisted therapy dosing sessions are 2.5 hours.
My professional training is diverse: I have a B.A. in Fine Art, an M.A. in Clinical Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy, a nine-month training certificate from the Los Angeles Jung Institute, a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology and Depth Psychotherapy, and a Fellowship training certificate in Acceptance and Integration Training™ (AAIT), and a 10-month certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy from the Integrated Psychiatry Institute.
Practicing professionally since 1998, I am a licensed LMFT in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a therapist, supervisor, director, and administrator in outpatient and inpatient mental health programs in urban, suburban, and rural settings.
When I’m not working…
You can usually find me with my family exploring the mountains, lakes, and coasts of the gorgeous PNW. I also love to spend time at home reading, cooking, making art and tending to my abode and the various plants and animals that live in and around it.
