I am Candyce Tart, (she/her), licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Cedar Psychology Services and have over 20 years of experience in healthcare. My background in clinical psychology, research, and nursing provides a unique perspective to my practice. For the past 13 years, I’ve dedicated my career to serving U.S. Military Veterans within the VA Healthcare System. This experience has allowed me to develop expertise in treating a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions. Recognizing the limitations of traditional treatment approaches, I became intrigued by the potential of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to address complex mental health challenges. I offer an evidence-based, compassionate, and culturally sensitive approach to supporting individuals on their healing journey. I provide in-person sessions in Albuquerque, NM, and telehealth services to residents of New Mexico and Colorado.
I offer integration and preparation for individuals undergoing psychedelic therapy, such as Ketamine-assisted therapy, and hope to offer group therapy options in the near future. Additionally, I am skilled in delivering specialized therapy modalities that complement psychedelic treatments, including: * Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for depression and anxiety * Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD * Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD * Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD   * Image Rehearsal Therapy for nightmares * Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for panic disorder (exposure-based) * Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Social Phobia * Anger management skills training * Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia
