Carlos Hernandez, MA

Carlos is a Transpersonal Psychotherapist licensed in Mexico and residing in South Africa. He specializes in expanded states of consciousness within therapeutic settings and distance psycho-spiritual integration. His passion for healing was sparked by a deep personal interest in shamanism and transpersonal Psychology. In 2006, he certified in Holotropic Breathwork under renowned pioneers Stanislav Grof and Tav Sparks. Carlos later collaborated with the training staff of the Grof Transpersonal Training program in the USA, establishing a strong ethical and professional foundation for his work and a deeper understanding how transpersonal realms shape our lives. He then deepened his expertise by earning a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, 2008. In the summer of 2006, Carlos began training with a Peruvian shaman in Iquitos, Peru. From 2008 to 2010, he lived and worked at a healing center in the Amazon rainforest near Iquitos, serving as a professional counselor, breathwork facilitator, and apprentice ayahuasquero. From 2021 he continued trainning with two additional teachers, culminating in his graduation in 2019 after over a decade of rigorous training. In 2022, he further specialized in psychedelic-assisted therapies through a postgraduate program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, Colorado, USA. During this specialization, Carlos had the privilege to do the theoretical aspect of MDMA-Assisted Therapy through MAPS. Carlos’s latest passion lies in vibrational and quantum healing, with a particular focus on biomagnetism. This approach embraces healing as a holistic, multidimensional experience, bridging the transpersonal and physical realms. By addressing the energetic roots of ailments, Carlos’s work goes beyond symptoms to uncover and resolve the deeper, often unseen, causes of distress, fostering profound and lasting healing. Since 2006, Carlos has guided individuals and groups on their healing journeys through non-ordinary states of consciousness. He currently runs an in-person healing practice in South Africa and while also offering online sessions to clients in Jalisco, Mexico and worldwide. He is deeply committed to the practices of vibrational healing, breathwork, prayer, and the therapeutic use of ancestral medicines, empowering others to reconnect with their Highest Self.
