Chasse Gibeault, MA
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Sault Ste. Marie ON
As a trans masculine, asexual person, I am passionate about offering inclusive services and integrating a harm reduction approach into my work by fostering client autonomy and meeting people where they’re at.
My name is Chasse, I use he/him pronouns and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a settler currently residing in Bawating (Sault Ste Marie) offering virtual counseling services from my home. I was born and raised in Northern Ontario, spending a lot of time camping with my family. I wanted to capture this part of my identity in my practice, hence the name Northern Solace, representing the peace and solitude of the Northern Ontario wilderness.
Before my Master's, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Algoma University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College.
I have extensive experience working with people who use drugs, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, fostering a harm reduction and sex positive approach.
As an autistic person who was diagnosed later in life, I have developed an interest in working with fellow neurodivergent people, and have experience doing so in a private practice setting.
I typically spend my free time with my partner and two pups Daisy and Mukwa. I regulate by playing video games, I am especially fond of the Sims, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon trilogies.
