CRISTINA GARCIA-GIL, MD

MEDICAL DOCTOR - DEATH DOULA - GRIEF COUNSELING PROVIDER.
La Ceja del Tambo ANT
My approach is both individual and group, always based on a holistic approach, understanding the client, their reality, their history, their fears, concerns, and expectations. I offer an initial consultation for a nominal fee to get to know you and align expectations. In this initial session, I listen and understand your needs, and explain my proposal in detail; this is what I call aligning expectations. Subsequently, appropriate therapies are offered for each case (available both online and in person, pre- and postmortem/loss). All therapies are conducted in sequential sessions and with a mutually agreed-upon schedule, with clear process goals (not outcome goals). Each session can last from 1 to 3 hours, both individually and in small groups. Options include individual sessions/services or packages (with sliding scales).
With 18 years of professional experience as a physician, I consider myself committed to society and people. I am open to change and challenges. I am creative, dynamic, resourceful, flexible, and open-minded. I have developed my professional experience in different areas of medicine (family medicine, emergency room, hospitalization, outpatient care), both nationally (Colombia, South America) and internationally. After many years of practice, I decided to put (conventional) medicine on the back burner to share resources beyond it with my patients, transforming my practice into a non-medical counseling approach more oriented toward the spirit and soul, with a broader focus on life, illness, death, and dying. Thanks to my academic training and experience, my knowledge and expertise in healthcare, medicine, quality assurance, patient safety, information security (HIPAA), among others, I can still guarantee a safe, reliable, and responsible practice whose primary and sole objective is the well-being of my patients and their families. I practice in an ethical and highly qualified manner, combining unconventional therapies, ancestral and Eastern approaches, while reinforcing adherence to classical Western medicine. I am Cristina García, MD and a death doula, ready to serve you, your family, and all those who seek guidance and support on your path of transformation.
