Therapist in Training
New York City NY
I bring a warm, relational, and collaborative presence to my work, meeting clients with curiosity, empathy, and deep respect for their inner wisdom. Drawing on my background in acting and body-based practices, I integrate mindfulness, creative expression, and somatic awareness to help clients connect with empathy, imagination, and self-trust. My priority is to cultivate trust and a safe, affirming space where each person feels heard, valued, and empowered in their healing process, as we explore growth and integration in ways that honor both vulnerability and resilience.
Hello! My name is Dana (she/her/hers) and I am a graduate of Columbia University’s MSW program with a concentration in psychedelic-assisted therapy. I am a certified yoga teacher specializing in trauma-informed yoga and a certified Death Doula through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA). I am a former crisis and suicide intervention counselor with RAINN and The Trevor Project.
At Golden Psychology, I work with clients navigating trauma, identity exploration, relationship complexity, and life transitions, with a particular focus on LGBTQ2IA+ communities, artists, immigrants, and people in non-traditional relationship structures. I bring deep attunement and compassion to my clinical work, and I am passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, of which I am a part, as well as those sharing the immigrant or artist experience. I specialize in addressing grief, loss, life transitions, systems of oppression, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
