I work one on one and would consider small groups if you had a group of friends / family. I generally work with individuals who are ready for serious and focused attention on 1-3 specific goals and are ready to committ to regular and intense sessions; we lay the ground work to bolster your resiliency and understanding of self and your journey, and then head into whatever modalities we decide on as a collaboration. We meet mostly virtually, and depending on what modalities are called for, I have some ability to meet in person. Through gestalt work, I will gently call you out, challenge your inner workings, and help you process in-the-now feelings and beliefs. By means of a combination of mindfulness, EMDR, and parts work, you may enter a semi-psychedelic state to process your challenges. And through solutions and strengths based approaches, I send you out of session with homework to integrate into your life what we process in session. I have walked the path of significant metanoia (total transformation), continue to do so, and use my own healing to bring groundedness, and connection to higher energies / divine into session. Though I am very much in touch of my spirit and emotions and tend to guide my clients into that realm, I have significant skill in cognitively processing material with you. I use pattern identification, problem solving, and identity formulation skills to help you better understand yourself on a cognitive level, and eventualy an emotional and spiritual level. We can work under a therapist-client relationship so we can bill your insurance (I accept commercial plans of UPMC, Highmark, BCBS, and Aetna; medical assistance does NOT accept my services) or we can work under a more natural facilitator-client relationship for cash pay.
Hello! I am Dani Grace, a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist based in Pittsburgh, PA. I hold a masters in transpersonal counseling psychology from Sofia University, a program that is psychedelic-informed. I have past careers in the military and real estate, and finally found my passion in helping others through therapy after doing my own psychedelic work. My own work initiated a metanoia of self, shedding so much of societal standards and expectations and embracing my authenticity. I have extensive experience with psychedelics, and I believe my own work greatly helps me guide my clients through their own healing paths. I am growth-minded and believe it is a life-long endeavor that we can share with others along the way. I love to dance, rock climb, and play board games; I play volleyball, paddle board, and hike. I enjoy my cats and a good Star Trek episode at home :) Meow!
I don't have any specific programs at the moment but those who seek my care generally are looking for help through a major life transition, to embrace their authenticity, and heal their past trauma through a spiritual and psychedelic take on evidenced-based therapeutic modalities. I am generally not an "every day stressor" kind of therapist. Our time together is short/medium term and focused on your objectives and we tend to get right to work on them.
