Danielle Carney, LMHC, CEDS

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Fort Lauderdale FL
In therapy, we'll work together to understand what's holding you back from becoming the version of yourself you've always envisioned but had trouble stepping into to. You'll learn how to shift the harsh, critical ways you think of yourself, set boundaries to protect your peace, and deepen your understanding of yourself based on your lived experiences, family and cultural influences, and relationship history. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to feel like you can fully be yourself. I believe therapy is tough, serious work, AND it can also be filled with laughter and lightness. I bring my full self to session in hopes that encourages you to feel free to be yourself, too. We'll start by building insight and awareness around the patterns and behaviors you're struggling with. From there, we'll work to make the meaningful changes needed to build a life you're proud of and excited about. I want to empower you to take charge of your own healing. I'll be here to support you, guide you, ask the tough questions, and (gently) call you on your BS when necessary.

I specialize in counseling for women’s issues, self-esteem, childhood and complex trauma, eating disorders, body image, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I’d love to help you deepen your understanding of yourself, shed layers of fear and shame, heal your relationship with food and your body, and develop more confidence in who you are. A life that’s aligned with the most empowered, authentic version of yourself is waiting, and I can’t wait to help you make it a reality.
I provide virtual Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with Journey Clinical and their medical team. Journey Clinical makes it convenient and accessible for people to work with the therapist of their choice for Ketamine treatment. A careful and thorough screening and intake process are required before a referral to a prescriber is made. A chaperone in a loved one, partner, or friend is necessary for remote KAP.
