Dmitriy Gekhman, MD

Psychiatrist
New York City NY
I offer both in person and virtual sessions for psychiatric evaluation and treatment as well as psychotherapy.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist, my combined BS/MD training at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and at SUNY Downstate included a focus on treating under-served populations. I completed my residency in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where I was the senior resident in charge of the psychodynamic psychotherapy program. Post-residency I worked as an inpatient psychiatrist, helping patients with serious and persistent mental illness. During that time I supervised residents in the outpatient department as both a psychopharmacology supervisor and a psychodynamic psychotherapy supervisor. I completed ketamine provider training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and offer ketamine assisted treatment. Currently, I am a psychotherapy supervisor, lecturer, and assistant clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Beth Israel psychiatric residency program.
