Eliot Klein, MA, MT-BC
Music Therapist and Counselor
Philadelphia PA
My trauma-informed approach emphasizes supported expression and the inner creative life as sources of strength and connection.
Eliot Klein, MA, MT-BC is a music therapist and counselor at Voyage Healing, with a focus on aesthetic experiences as gateways for healing and growth to occur. He received a dual master’s degree in Music Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in 2019, and was granted the Dean’s Clinical Service Award for work with underserved members of the community, pointing to the cultural humility and empathy central to his therapeutic work.
While at Drexel, he developed a strong interest in the overlaps between psychedelic therapies and music therapy, as powerful treatments for encouraging peak experiences and for processing emotions, memories, thought patterns and trauma. Music is an important part of the psychedelic experience, and Eliot is able to work fluently with this element, in addition to traditional psychotherapeutic exchanges.
Since 2019, Eliot has worked primarily with individuals in crisis, facilitating groups and individual sessions at the Horsham Clinic. He has received training in psychedelic therapy from SoundMind Center and Voyage Healing, and is currently receiving supervision towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
