Erin is deeply intutitive and listens to the holistic needs of the client. She uses integrative and dynamic methods as needed. For example, she may use body awareness and somatic practices and breathwork modalities as appropriate.
Erin is a Psychological Associate in California, specializing in work with young adults, women and mothers, anxiety, depression, somatic healing, and supporting individuals and couples through life transitions and loss. Erin’s dissertation research is focused on practices that support the integration of masculine and feminine in the archetypal Artist and Healer.
Erin Chalfant is steeped in a systemic understanding of the world we live in that includes cultural sensitivity, awareness and inclusivity. Her practice embraces diversity and supports deeply transformative work in intimate relationships, couples, and parenting issues, as well as exploring women's unique psychology and needs, and managing the compound stress we carry as a result of our culture’s modern lifestyle.
Erin has been guided by a lidless curiosity to live, work, participate and study ceremony and plant medicine all over the world (including in Colombia, Barcelona, and Vancouver), and has 20 years of experience teaching, writing, mentoring, and facilitating ceremony. Her narrative nonfiction book, The Other Side of the River, was published by Womancraft Publishing in 2016. She draws from a profound way of listening and pattern recognition that is grounded in application and attuned to each individual’s unique situation and life circumstances.
Erin offers a mentoring series with a short-term focus on a particular area. She also leads immersions and apprenticeship in working with the elements and nature through the Celtic Wheel of the Year.
