Heidi Dalzell, PsyD

Heidi J. Dalzell, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializing in and trauma and eating disorders. She brings 25+ years of direct clinical experience to your care. Dr. Dalzell graduated summa cum laude from Immaculata University, where she completed her doctoral research on early trauma. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including Eating Disorders Treatment Center and Belmont Center’s Eating Disorder Program. She is also the past coordinator of the Certified Alcohol Counselor Program at Bucks County Community College. Dr. Dalzell has a busy private practice specializing in eating disorders, trauma and working with the LGBTQ community. Particular areas of interest include non-ordinary states, psychedelic medicines and mid-life eating disorders. Dr. Dalzell is also certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, which has applications to trauma, eating disorders/body image, addiction and mood disorders. Dr. Dalzell has kept at the forefront of knowledge in the field of psychedelic medicine, training in the area of psychedelic assisted therapies. She has led and participated in activities to help clients reach non-ordinary states of consciousness (breathwork, drumming, meditation). Dr. Dalzell has also trained with leaders in the field, including Michael Mitohoefer, Julie Holland and Gabor Mate. She has completed her training as a psychedelic sitter/guide through A Guiding Presence and has completed certification training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Dr. Dalzell is currently enrolled in IPI’s year long psychedelic certificate program. She is also certified in Shamanic Integrated Breathwork. Dr. Dalzell has presented nationally and internationally on topics connected to mental health and wellness. She is the co-author of "A Clinician’s Guide to Gender Identity and Body Image," as well as a book in press about mid-life eating disorders.
