Heidi Garrett, ASW
Associate Clinical Social Worker
Nevada City CA
I work with individuals integrating a wide range of psychedelic experiences — from expanded states of consciousness to challenging trips, spiritual emergence, or trauma that resurfaced while altered. I also specialize in working with people who have experienced harm, coercion, or boundary violations in psychedelic spaces — including those involving therapists, shamans, or underground facilitators.
I also welcome clients navigating grief, loss, trauma, spiritual crisis, identity shifts, or those simply seeking to deepen and integrate transformative experiences. My work is often slow, deep, and always guided by what feels most supportive to you.
I’m a trauma-informed social worker, herbalist, and psychedelic integration provider with nearly a decade of experience in harm reduction, peer support, and community education. I’ve offered care at festivals through the Zendo Project (MAPS), taught herbalism and somatic practices, and co-facilitated support spaces for people navigating challenging or meaningful psychedelic experiences.
I’ve completed a yearlong psychedelic training through Vital (Psychedelics Today), as well as a year-and-a-half-long End-of-Life Practitioner training, which deeply informs my ability to hold space for grief, loss, and existential transitions. I also bring training in Hakomi, EMDR, and somatic healing into my work, drawing from both modern psychology and traditional wisdom.
As an herbalist, I offer a holistic approach that honors the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. My work is rooted in compassion, consent, and care — with a particular focus on supporting survivors of harm within psychedelic spaces. My work is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing is nonlinear and deeply personal.
