Hunter Elyse, MA, RCC, RP

Psychotherapist & Somatic Experiencing Practitioner
Port Moody BC
I prioritize creating a safe, attuned, and collaborative relationship. Sessions often involve slowing down, tracking body-based cues, and making space for emotions to move and integrate. I also offer virtual breathwork journeys, which can be especially supportive in preparing the mind and body for psychedelic experiences or ceremonies. Integration work may include processing insights, anchoring new patterns, and translating profound experiences into grounded change. Whether through therapy, breathwork, or coaching, my focus is on helping clients connect with their inner resources and build steadiness in daily life.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario. I am also a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) and a Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator. At Soulcotherapy, I work with people who are healing from trauma, exploring their identity, and seeking meaningful change in their lives. My background includes extensive training in somatic and attachment-based therapy, as well as direct clinical experience in psychedelic-assisted care. From 2023 until the Vancouver clinic closure in mid-2024, I worked as a Ketamine-Assisted Therapist with Numinus. My practice is guided by a passion for integrating somatic and spiritual approaches. I believe healing is not only about symptom reduction, but also about cultivating steadiness, self-trust, and a deeper connection to life.
I provide individual therapy and breathwork sessions, and I also run The Steady Protocol™, a coaching-based group program offered monthly. The program helps people understand their nervous system and build daily practices of regulation and embodiment. For those preparing for psychedelic journeys or ceremonies, The Steady Protocol™ serves as a strong foundation. It strengthens the capacity to be with emotions, cultivates safety in the body, and supports integration afterward with practical tools. (www.thesteadyprotocol.com)
