Hunter Elyse, MA, RCC, RP
Psychotherapist & Somatic Experiencing Practitioner
Port Moody BC
I prioritize creating a grounded, attuned, and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Sessions often involve slowing down, tracking nervous system responses, noticing body-based cues, and exploring emotional patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. Many individuals I work with are highly insightful and self-aware, yet still feel disconnected from themselves, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck in long-standing survival patterns.
Psychedelic Preparation work may include:
* nervous system stabilization
* emotional readiness
* intention-setting
* psychoeducation
* strengthening internal and external resources
Psychedelic Integration work may involve:
* processing emotional material
* making meaning of experiences
* supporting nervous system regulation
* anchoring insight into daily life
* exploring identity shifts, values, and relational patterns
My goal is to help clients move toward greater steadiness, self-trust, embodiment, and connection both during and beyond periods of psychedelic exploration.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario. I am also a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP™) and a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator.
At Soulco therapy, I support individuals healing from developmental trauma, nervous system dysregulation, identity confusion, emotional overwhelm, and relational wounds. My practice integrates relational psychotherapy, attachment theory, Somatic Experiencing®, and embodied nervous system approaches to support greater safety, self-trust, emotional regulation, and connection.
My background includes advanced training in trauma and psychedelic-informed care, along with direct clinical experience in ketamine-assisted therapy through Numinus from 2023 until the Vancouver clinic closure in 2024.
I am particularly interested in how psychedelic preparation and integration can support deeper emotional processing, self-understanding, nervous system flexibility, and meaningful change when approached with care, pacing, and appropriate support.
I practice from a harm reduction perspective and recognize that altered states can bring forward both profound insight and complex emotional material. My role is not to direct the experience itself, but to help individuals prepare thoughtfully, integrate safely, and make grounded meaning from what emerges.
I offer individual therapy, preparation and integration support, and trauma-informed breathwork sessions.
I also facilitate The Steady Protocol™, a monthly 4-week online group therapy program focused on nervous system regulation, emotional capacity, and embodied resilience.
The group is designed to help individuals better understand their nervous system and build practical tools for regulation, grounding, emotional processing, and stress recovery. For those preparing for psychedelic work, it can also provide a strong foundation for increasing emotional capacity, cultivating safety in the body, and supporting integration afterward.
