JACQUELINE MENDEZ, LMFT, CST, CST-S

Licensed Marriage Family Therapist
Calabasas CA
I work with clients from a holistic, trauma-informed, and sex-positive perspective, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your inner world, relationships, and sexuality. I believe that each person comes to therapy with unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I tailor my approach to meet you exactly where you are. In sessions, we work collaboratively to identify patterns, uncover underlying blocks, and explore the interplay between your mind, body, emotions, and spirit. I integrate somatic awareness, relational and expressive arts techniques, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support healing, growth, and empowerment. For couples, I facilitate communication, understanding, and connection, helping partners navigate intimacy, desire, and relational challenges while honoring each individual’s needs. For individuals, I guide you in reclaiming pleasure, self-awareness, and authentic expression, supporting you in aligning your life with your values and desires. I also work with therapists and healers seeking supervision or mentorship, providing guidance on building a thriving, ethical, and heart-centered sex therapy practice. In these spaces, we focus on clinical skill, professional growth, and personal development, helping you feel confident and supported on your path. At the core of my work is a belief that therapy is not just about reducing symptoms—it is a process of rediscovering your aliveness, reclaiming your power, and cultivating meaningful, authentic connections with yourself and others. Together, we create a path toward healing, growth, and embodied joy.
Jacqueline Mendez has spent over two decades guiding individuals, couples, and professionals on journeys of healing, intimacy, and self-discovery. As a therapist, coach, educator, and consultant, she helps people reconnect to their aliveness, pleasure, and authenticity, transforming not just their relationships—but their lives. She is the founder of the Center for Relationship & Intimacy Well-Being (CRIWB), where she supports clients in cultivating deeper connection, embodied joy, and sustainable personal and professional growth. She is also the founder of A Healing Ground, a space dedicated to integrative healing, self-discovery, and returning therapy to its root—the study of the soul. Jacqueline’s work flows from a holistic, sex-positive, decolonizing, and trauma-informed lens. She blends somatic therapy, relational and expressive arts approaches, spirituality, and culturally responsive practices to meet people where they are and help them reclaim their voice, body, and relational power. Deeply committed to serving the Latine community, she addresses intergenerational trauma, cultural taboos, gender roles, and the intersections of identity, intimacy, and power. Her spaces are safe and supportive, where clients can explore pleasure, connection, and intimacy without judgment or shame. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Supervisor, Jacqueline mentors therapists and healers on their certification journey, helping them build thriving, heart-centered practices that honor both their clients and themselves. She is also a trusted media consultant, frequently contributing her expertise on sexuality and relationships to Telemundo, Univision, and The New York Times. Currently, Jacqueline is writing a book on Latinidad, spirituality, and sexuality. She is certified in Psychedelic Therapies through CIIS, with ongoing training from Polaris and MAPS. She is also completing her certification through The Menopause Society, supporting women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and life transitions with awareness, empowerment, and embodiment. At the heart of Jacqueline’s work is the belief that true healing goes beyond symptom relief—it is about reclaiming aliveness, pleasure, authenticity, and meaningful connection. Through her guidance, clients and colleagues alike learn to embrace their full selves, live with intention, and cultivate joy, intimacy, and resilience in every aspect of their lives.
