Joanne Solari, LCSW

Psychotherapist

What makes my therapeutic approach different is the balance I strike between compassionate support and meaningful challenge. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be seen and heard—but I also gently push you to self-reflect, confront limiting beliefs, and challenge distorted thinking patterns that may be holding you back. Healing isn't passive, and growth often comes from doing the hard, uncomfortable work. I’ll walk beside you with empathy and encouragement, but I’ll also hold you accountable to your goals and your own potential. Together, we’ll explore what’s not working, build on your strengths, and create sustainable change that aligns with the life you want to live.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker: AZ LCSW-19223 & NJ 44SC05583700 Certified School Social Worker NASW - Clinical Supervisor Master of Social Work Degree from Fordham University with a specialty in Children & Families and a concentration in Client-Centered Management. My background includes working with adolescents and adults in therapeutic high schools, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, as well as community mental health clinics. I also have experience in care management, outreach, and supportive services, which gives me a deeper understanding of the real-life challenges people face. My specialized training includes Comprehensive Clinical Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Substance Abuse, Trauma Center/JRI's Complexity of Adaptation to Trauma, Vicarious Trauma & Self-Care, and the ARC Treatment Framework (Attachment, Self-Regulation, & Competency). I have completed the NASW-NJ & AZ Clinical Social Work Supervision Certification Course, EMDR trained through the EMDR Institute, and hold the Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTSI) credential from the AZ Trauma Institute. Before entering the mental health field, I spent several years working in advertising, customer service, marketing, and sales. These experiences in corporate environments gave me a firsthand understanding of the unique pressures that come with trying to balance work, personal life, and a sense of self. I’ve seen how chronic stress, performance demands, and a lack of alignment can impact not only productivity but overall well-being. This insight deeply informs my work with clients navigating burnout, career transitions, and the often-overlooked task of reconnecting with themselves amid the chaos of modern life.
Seeking support isn’t always easy—it can feel overwhelming, vulnerable, or even anxiety-inducing. But you don’t have to navigate it alone. One of the most powerful aspects of therapy is the relationship we build together. When there is trust, honesty, and a sense of unconditional support, real healing and transformation can begin. As a strengths-based clinician, I take a client-centered approach and tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices and believe in working collaboratively with you—honoring your lived experience while offering tools, guidance, and support along the way. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or something you can’t yet name, I'm here to help you reconnect with your strengths, clarify your path, and move toward the life you want to live. My goal is to help you not only feel better, but also build lasting, sustainable resources—internally and externally—that support your well-being.
