Jourdan Tymkow, MA

Registered Provisional Psychologist
Edmonton AB
As a therapist, I bring all my experiences into my practice, offering a holistic, integrative, and trauma-informed approach. I recognize the importance of working with the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My work is relational, intuitive, and empathetic, focused on helping you unlock your inner wisdom, heal from past wounds, and move toward a life of authenticity and purpose. With each client, I work in a collaborative, compassionate, and playful manner, providing a safe space for exploration and growth. Together, we will journey through your past, present, and future, uncovering new insights and healing along the way. I also recognize that our experiences are shaped by culture, society, and systemic structures. My work is informed by my BFA in Critical and Cultural Practices, decolonial theory, Indigenous Cultural Safety Training, and a commitment to culturally responsive, socially just (CRSJ) counseling. I understand that our relationships with family, community, institutions, and society can be sources of both strength and challenge. In other words, I recognize that we are not creatures in isolation and that our relationships with family, friends, community, cultural practices, institutions, and systemic structures can be a source of strength, oppression, and many shades in between. If you’re seeking a therapist who continually seeks to understand the complexities of the human experience and brings a mix of empathy, intuition, humour, and playfulness to the healing process, we may be a great fit. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, exploring psychedelic integration, or seeking deeper personal growth, I will be there with you through the tears, laughs, new understandings, and everything in between.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a focus on somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, experiential approaches and attachment theory, I bring a holistic, compassionate approach to psychedelic integration. My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, and I integrate these principles to ensure that your integration process is grounded, nurturing, and transformative. I have years of experience supporting folks through psychedelic journeys, along with personal experiences that have given me a unique perspective on the challenges that arise during psychedelic journeys. Professionally, I served as a psychedelic support worker with Fireside Project from 2021-2022 and during my clinical internship, I worked on the licensing and programming of one of Edmonton’s first psychedelic-assisted therapy clinics. This role included supporting individuals with the Special Access Program for psilocybin and MDMA-assisted therapies and co-facilitating psychedelic integration circles. Through this work, I gained deep insights into the wisdom of the body and the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in supporting personal growth and healing that I bring to my psychedelic preparation and integration work with P.A.T.H. Therapy - one of Canada's first national psilocybin-assisted therapy companies. Whether we work together online in-person, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, process difficult emotions, and create meaningful change. Whether you are preparing for a psychedelic experience or integrating the insights gained from one, I am here to support you every step of the way.
