Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Midlothian VA
I work with clients by providing education, medical evaluation, and supportive presence before and during ketamine treatment. I help patients clarify intentions, understand what to expect, and remain grounded throughout their sessions. After treatment, I emphasize care coordination, encouraging reflection and facilitating collaboration or referrals to the patient’s therapist to support appropriate integration and ongoing therapeutic work. Ketamine wont "fix" everything overnight. It wont erase chronic pain, depression or trauma entirely. Instead, think of it as a tool-one that opens space for healing, quiets the noise , and helps your mind and body reset.
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)–prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in ketamine-assisted treatment and integrative psychiatry. I am also a professional member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners (ASKP3). At Reclaim U Health & Wellness, my role is to provide medically guided ketamine care rooted in safety, transparency, and individualized dosing, while collaborating closely with licensed therapists to ensure patients are supported throughout their broader healing journey. I believe ketamine is a tool, not a cure. Healing doesn’t always follow a straight line, and that’s okay. Ketamine works by modulating the brain’s NMDA receptors and regulating glutamate, helping support neuroplasticity and healthier patterns of thought, mood, and pain perception. For most patients, meaningful change builds gradually over time, especially when ketamine is used consistently and alongside other supportive care. Every patient’s experience is unique. Dosing is highly individualized and adjusted thoughtfully based on diagnosis, physiology, and response. It’s also normal to experience emotional or physical “flares” after treatment, fatigue, sensitivity, or emotional shifts can occur as the nervous system processes change. These moments are not setbacks, but part of the body’s adaptive response. I encourage patients to look for small wins, subtle improvements in mood, pain, motivation, or daily functioning that signal progress, even when change feels slow. Simple reflection practices, such as brief journaling, can help patients recognize patterns and growth over time. At Reclaim U, our philosophy is simple: Trust. Relax. Let go. We are committed to compassionate, ethical ketamine care that honors the complexity of healing and supports patients every step of the way.
