Kelly Keeler, MA, LPC, CAC

Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Addiction Counselor
Fort Collins CO
Part of my strength as a therapist comes from my ability to hear the unique experiences that are difficult to express in words alone. I meet my clients where they are without judgement, and help to normalize and support even the most uncomfortable phenomena. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and heart, and work to help her clients grow, not just beyond their pain, but through their pain. I resists pathologizing human behavior and experience, and instead work to help clients put their experiences into meaningful context. Professional interests include anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+, self-esteem, substance abuse, spirituality and creativity
I am a licensed professional counselor as well as a certified addictions counselor. In addition to my masters in counseling in 2012 from Regis University, I certified in depth psychology, providing me a solid background in jungian analysis. I have training in EMDR, DBT, CBT, EFT, integrative medicine and mindfulness and am also a reiki practitioner. I have a passion for helping others access their own innate wisdom and personal power in order to transform their lives. I have experiences working with all types of individuals from all types of backgrounds in settings as varied as acute treatment, wilderness therapy and outpatient settings. My own experiences with anxiety and trauma have left me with a profound respect for the transformative potential that these types of crisis can offer. I earned my BA in Sociology and Art from Nebraska Wesleyan University, which created a foundation of respect for the sociocultural considerations at play in individual lives, as well as an understanding of how powerful creative pursuits can be in the quest for healing.
