I provide mental health support and guidance integrating insights and experiences. During a KAP session neurobiologically, a few things are happening at once:
* the default mode network (the self-referential “story about me” system) quiets down
* glutamate surges increase synaptic flexibility
* emotional memories can be reconsolidated without the same threat response
* avoidance patterns temporarily lose their grip
So instead of fighting symptoms head-on, it lets people step outside the mental structure that keeps recreating them.
My name is Laura Goncalves. I have 8 years of clinical experience as well as completing KAP training courses through Fluence as well as Palo Alto University.
I offer psycholytic therapy sessions either shortly after dose or one hour post infusion to help with action and integration. The insights aren’t automatically permanent so therapy helps translate the experience into actual behavioral and emotional change. Otherwise it can just become a profound memory that fades.
