Laura Scharber and Bryan McWhite are the co-founders of MindRise Wellness Solutions. They founded MindRise because they wanted to dedicate themselves to providing effective, transformative treatments for anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and marital and relational disharmony in a context of safety, understanding, and love. Laura is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and suicidality. She has been a clinical administrator for the past 15+ years with extensive tele-health and culturally-responsive care experience. She is one of the small number of therapists globally who have been trained by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist, and has also completed her training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). She also serves as a Clinical Supervisor at a Mental Health firm in Minneapolis, MN. She holds degrees in Psychology and Human Relations & Multicultural Education, and masters degrees in both Leadership and Marriage & Family Therapy. Laura is trained in Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy, and is certified as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP), a Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist (NLPt), a Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), and a Mind, Body & Wellness Coach. Bryan is a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Integration Coach. He holds an M.Div. from Trinity International University, and did post-graduate work at Fuller Graduate School. He completed his KAP training with Polaris Insight Center, a leader and innovator in the field of psychedelic therapy dedicated to the ethical and compassionate use of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Bryan served as a pastor and chaplain for many years, and has counseled, mentored, and walked with hundreds of people through some of the highest highs and lowest lows of life. While he no longer affiliates with a specific creed or religious organization, Bryan has never ceased to have a “pastor’s heart”–seeking to serve, heal, guide, and inspire. Bryan also spent a decade as a real estate entrepreneur, coach and brokerage owner, and has a particular passion for clients who are seeking better mental health and happiness in the midst of high-stress, high-responsibility, and burnout-inducing vocations.
