Lauren Vilar, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist
Wilmington NC
Our work together begins with a conversation about whether individual or group Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the best fit for you. We then move into an in-depth assessment to understand your goals, your history, and whether KAP is appropriate for where you are in life right now. This work is different from traditional talk therapy. KAP often invites profound insight and emotional clarity, and it works best when you're ready to engage with meaningful change.
Once the assessment is complete, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. We'll explore your intentions for the work and begin preparing for your dosing sessions. After each dosing experience, we’ll meet for integration. In integration sessions we will process what arose and identify steps to bring that insight into your daily life. This is a collaborative process, and I welcome the opportunity to work alongside your current therapist or psychiatric provider if you're already receiving care elsewhere. I can also include trusted family members or support people in your integration work if that feels right to you.
Throughout our time together, I’ll provide resources to help you better understand KAP and support your learning. We’ll adjust the pace and frequency of sessions based on your needs and what’s unfolding in your experience. My role is to walk beside you as you connect more deeply with your inner healing intelligence and move toward the changes you’re seeking.
