How I work with clients
I provide individual therapy to clients in person and online. I begin with an assessment to get to know you, your goals, and if this therapy is good fit. From there we can craft a bespoke plan for you and determine what the best choice for you is. After we meet for the first time, we determine how often we will meet, where we will explore past and/or current work with psychedelics and how to integrate insights into your daily life to make the changes you would like to see in yourself and in your life. After our initial meeting, we figure out how frequently we should meet and the topics we'll discuss. Whether we're delving into your past, current experiences with psychedelics, or exploring ketamine-assisted therapy, the aim is to use our insights to create positive changes in your day-to-day life. Let's work together to bring the positive changes you're aiming for into your life.
Therapeutic Approach
Every individual deserves love and is inherently valuable. That's where I always begin – with an unwavering belief in your worth. I'm here to support you, embracing your life journey, irrespective of the choices you've made. My approach is casual, affirming, and relaxed. I weave mindfulness, CBT, and somatic techniques into our sessions, guiding you to embrace the present moment and the organic unfolding of your life. Creating a space for you to be authentically yourself is paramount to me. It's in this space that you can courageously share your story, allowing yourself to be fully seen. This openness is a key that unlocks self-discovery, helping you understand yourself better and chart the course for the life you desire. My experience and training equips me to connect with individuals who've experienced trauma. I firmly believe in each person's capacity to nurture an inner healing intelligence, steering their life in the direction it needs to go. Let's embark on this journey of self-exploration together.
Biography
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), having earned my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore. I am the owner of LMV Counseling (lmvcounseling.com), a distinguished mental health group counseling private practice, and Go Inward, a specialized practice dedicated to psychedelic therapy. With an extensive background as a therapist in the fields of mental health and substance use, I identified a need for a therapeutic approach that transcends traditional talk therapy. This realization led me to explore nad jump into the emerging field of psychedelic science. I have undergone comprehensive professional training in various modalities, including ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), psychedelic harm reduction and integration therapy, MDMA Assisted Therapy (MAPS, Lykos), mindfulness, and PTSD treatment.
