Margaret Brako, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Berkeley CA
I support clients in rebuilding their sense of self and safety. Together, we’ll practice the fundamentals of managing anxiety and depression, breaking cycles of guilt and shame, and arriving home in ourselves.
Margaret is passionate about helping people empower themselves. Her practice emphasizes trauma-informed and culturally responsive care for people of all backgrounds. She received her Masters in Social Work from New York University in 2014. From 2012-2019, she worked in community-based programs, helping unhoused and underserved clients manage trauma, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. In 2020, she trained in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at Sage Integrative Health, where she now provides both short- and long- term therapy. Margaret's practice is also informed by her identities as a queer, Black woman and a first-generation American.
