I approach care as a partnership—your story, values, and goals shape the foundation of our work. Together, we co-create a treatment plan that may include lifestyle changes, trauma-informed therapy, psychedelic integration, and if appropriate, non-ordinary state experiences like breathwork or ketamine-assisted therapy. I welcome individuals navigating anxiety, depression, generational trauma, life transitions, cultural identity issues, and existential crises. Sessions may integrate grounding practices (like 5-4-3-2-1 or 3-3-3 techniques), nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry, and deep inner child work, particularly for those with early relational trauma.
Maria is a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience spanning hospital systems, school districts, outpatient clinics, federally qualified health centers, and academic settings. Her clinical background includes work in critical care, underserved communities, and holistic mental health care. Born and raised in Central Asia, Maria brings a culturally rich and integrative perspective to her practice, blending Eastern and Western approaches to support the mind-body-spirit connection. Maria’s personal healing journey—from a chaotic childhood and the challenges of immigration to overcoming an eating disorder and anxiety—deeply informs her clinical work. Her practice is inspired by lived experience and spiritual exploration across continents, drawing upon a unique combination of mindfulness, herbal medicine, yoga, breathwork, psychedelic integration, and evidence-based psychiatric treatment.
