Melinda Maule, LCSW-C
Licensed Social Worker-Clinical
Baltimore MD
My goals in therapy are three-fold: 1) Amplify our healing powers of compassion, curiosity, creativity and connectedness. 2) Reprocess traumatic memories and nervous system responses/triggers. 3) Unpack the complexities of human beliefs and behaviors to intentionally redefine and reclaim the story of ourselves and our experiences. I operate from a social justice framework that helps clients navigate the intersectionality of power, privilege, oppression, and connection in our lives.
Hi! I'm Melinda (she/they/nonmasc pronouns). I am honored to call Baltimore my adoptive home. Originally from rural Pennsylvania, I moved to Baltimore 8 years ago after having lived in the Middle East for several years. I have been a licensed clinician for over 5 years, and came to be a therapist after several years working with marginalized groups in social service program development. In my work, I aim to balance the personal and professional: the areas I focus in are incredibly important to me and to those I love - this isn't just academic for me. On the credential side, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I have completed advanced training in trauma-focused therapy modalities though the IFS Institute, EMDRIA, and MAPS. I also take the work of serving marginalized communities seriously and have committed to ongoing personal and professional learning to address the unique needs of trauma in immigrant, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and ENM/polyam communities. I'm also really passionate about psychedelics as a tool to deconstruct race and white fragility for white healers and helpers.
