This allows clients in over 40 states to access her care remotely with ease and continuity. MindSet Integration is more than a therapy practice—it is a transformative space where modern clinical psychology meets timeless, soul-rooted wisdom. Our work is grounded in depth psychotherapy and transpersonal therapy, with an emphasis on exploring the roots of distress, restoring inner alignment, and fostering sustainable healing. We believe therapy is not only about symptom relief, but about reconnecting with one's inner truth, creativity, and power. Through an integrative, client-centered approach, we support individuals in awakening to their fullest potential—personally, spiritually, and collectively.
Dr. Angela Beers, Shadow Medicine, is a clinical psychologist and the founder of MindSet Integration Psychological Services, a practice that integrates clinical expertise with spiritual insight to support deep, embodied healing. Her work focuses on healing intergenerational trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and expanding consciousness—particularly within marginalized and historically excluded communities. Dr. Beers holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology and has extensive experience in both clinical and community settings. She has served as a psychologist with the Michigan Department of Corrections and Vista Maria, a residential treatment facility for female adolescents. Her graduate training included practica at Oakwood Medical Family Clinic and a clinical internship with American Indian Health and Family Services in Southwest Detroit. Drawing from her Indigenous Mexican and European heritage, Dr. Beers centers her practice on culturally responsive, community-based care. She is committed to decolonizing therapeutic practices and integrating Indigenous wisdom into her work. Her approach is informed by a deep understanding of the impacts of colonization and a dedication to social justice. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Beers has made significant contributions to the fields of clinical psychology and psychedelia. She has presented at the MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference and Harvard Law School’s Petrie-Flom Center. She also played a key role in drafting SB23-290, Colorado’s Natural Medicine Regulation and Legalization Bill, and in establishing the Federally Recognized American Tribes and Indigenous Community Working Group. At MindSet Integration, Dr. Beers offers a range of services, including individual therapy, psychedelic integration support, and professional consultation. The practice is a proud LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming space, committed to providing culturally sensitive and transformative care.
