Monica Dominguez, LCSW

Therapist
Baltimore MD
I partner with my clients to create a plan for our time together that incorporates their plans and therapy goals and their intentions. Some would call me a confrontational therapist, but I use gentle and supportive confrontation. We are here for a reason, right? I firmly believe that everyone carries with them the innate ability and flexibility to grow and get out of stuckness, or restricted ways of thinking and perceiving. This is a journey and process that the client has to lead, but it is an honor to help guide, support and witness it.
Hi there! My name is Monica (They/She). I am a California native living in Maryland for the past 13 years, but hope to return home to the Bay Area very soon. I am Mama to two little ones and an agoraphobic rescue dog. I am regularly schooled by all of them. I consider myself mix-raced and non-binary, and though English is my only language with fluency, I have learned chunks of other languages throughout my life, as bridging communications barriers is a passion of mine. Accessible care and medicine is also a passion of mine. I have had a long personal journey with psychedelics and plant medicines in my life, and I feel very lucky to consider them a part of my work now. Other interests of mine include collecting natural world things, film photography, excursions and explorations, social activism, and alternative ideas about family, friendships and existing in the world.
