Natania often uses the emotions that her clients experience in session as entry points for exploration and change. Creating a safe, warm and playful therapeutic environment, Natania helps individual clients and couples to become aware of and harness their own internal wisdom to facilitate healing. Natania draws from knowledge and training in evidence-based practices to tailor her interventions to match her clients’ needs.
Natania is a Psychologist at Remedy and at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. She completed training at the CAMH, Ryerson Centre for Student Development and Counselling, Toronto Western Hospital, and volunteer work at the 519 Community Centre. Natania also has experience supervising and teaching student therapists. Her research on the mental and sexual health impacts of stigma and discrimination in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities is published in peer-reviewed journals, and she is currently working on a CIHR-funded project to translate this research to the public. She completed her post-doctoral research on re-imagining mental health crisis intervention without police.
