Nicole Sylvestre, MA, LPC
Psychedelic Psychotherapist
Longmont CO
The heart of Nicole’s work is relationship. She is known for holding a down-to-earth, safe space where clients can feel loved in the places they cannot yet love themselves. Nicole brings her own authenticity and vulnerability, expressed through a humorous, grounded style that helps people feel at ease and able to approach their own vulnerabilities and pain in a deeper way. Her intention is to help clients discover the non-dual, non-judging, accepting awareness within themselves that can be difficult to access alone. When pain is met with validation and compassionate witnessing—while the stuck energy of trauma is moved through the body—shame, self-criticism, and rigid unconscious patterning begin to soften. From there, self-compassion, curiosity, and embodied presence naturally emerge. That is the fertile ground from which true healing happens. Nicole's varied background and training allows her to co-create each therapeutic journey with each client. Rather than imposing a model or protocol, she meets each client where they are at, integrating elements from her diverse training based on her clients' individual needs and goals. Her extensive experience enables her to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to healing, encompassing the interconnected realms of body, mind, and spirit. She currently offers ketamine and cannabis-assisted psycholytic and psychedelic therapy and shamanic work.
Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the psychedelic space since 2010, and has a private practice dedicated exclusively to psychedelic work. Nicole has extensive, integrative training and experience in the healing arts. She is grateful to be one of the few therapists fully certified to practice MDMA psychotherapy through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). She had the privilege of working as a therapist for the Phase 3 MDMA and PTSD study. Additionally, she holds certifications as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, an Acudetox Specialist utilizing an ear acupuncture protocol, and as a Level 1 AEDP therapist. She has also trained in hands-on somatic trauma resolution with the Somatic Training Institute and the Pathways for Healing School. She dedicated 3 years to studying core shamanism in a professional shamanic practitioner training, and continues to pursue apprenticeship in an earth-centered, indigenous shamanic lineage from Belize. This tradition focuses on non-psychedelic plant medicine, shamanic bodywork, and abdominal massage techniques. Nicole’s training also includes studies in parts work, attachment repatterning, Gestalt, Chi Nei Tsang, yogic traditions, functional nutrition, folk herbalism, and Buddhist psychology. Along with her private practice, Nicole has assisted various psychedelic therapy training programs as a trainer and group facilitator. Nicole is passionate about offering this work because she has experienced its benefits from the inside out. Psychedelic therapy has helped her find the health, freedom, clarity, and ground that seemed far out of reach for her in the past. Psychedelic therapy truly works and she is so grateful to be able to offer it to others.
