There is no one-size-fits all. I train as much as I can across different modalities to try and bring in what works best for you, at a specific moment in treatment. (That could be paying attention to parts of you, somatic symptoms or sensations, it could be building up positive networks/ego strengths, it could be versions of EMDR coupled with talk therapy, it could be harm reduction, it could be understanding parts/object relations, it could be understanding neuroscience, it could be poly vagal exercises/affect regulation to ground and come back to a window of tolerance for processing...) It's a joined effort. I will not push you to where you don't want to go. I will explain what I think and offer up ideas, which are up for discussion or rejection. Because ultimately, progress is not just about understanding more (in our heads) what we discover, it about growing the capacity to allow ourselves to feel (in our hearts) our truths, positive and negative. To be able look at our worlds, relationships or issues with new perspectives. And getting to that point requires partnership, trust and support.
I help clients explore their inner worlds for growth and healing, by building bridges between trauma informed modalities, somatic practices, psychoanalysis and psychedelics to develop a deeper connection to themselves and to others. I may use EMDR to help desensitize current stressors, reprocess the past (developmental trauma and/or PTSD) and assists with future goals. I offer Ketamine-assisted therapy in individual sessions, groups and in retreat formats, as well as psychedelic harm reduction and integration therapy for clients who are exploring these effective treatment modalities.
