Clinical Counsellor

My clinical practice and framework is depth and attachment oriented - which is to say that I seek to support people who wish to get to the root source of whatever concerns they bring to therapy. I emphasize the importance of integration and normalize the ebbs and flows that come with transformative change. I try to show up as authentically as possible - balancing evidence based therapeutic practices with humour and warmth. I support people in alchemizing their pain into joy and vitality. For many, therapy provides space to make sense of your experience - answering questions such as “what happened”, “how did this happen” which can be deeply healing. We can make sense of our individual, and collective pain together. Others that seek a deeper shift - surrendering to the process of transmuting pain into relief, strength and authenticity. Working through ancestral trauma and connecting into ancestral wisdom, There are some wounds that stay with us, but there are ways to diffuse the pain, and connect with life force. My hope is to support you feeling at home in your own body.
I have always been curious about the taboo, about those who exist on the fringes of conventional spaces. I think in part because I for a long time considered myself to be an “outsider.” I felt othered in many ways and sought to connect with people who saw life through unconventional lenses. People who marched to the beat of their own drums—who live boldly, authentically, and with a whole lot of audacity. I paved my own unique path in life, and my path towards healing led me to becoming a therapist. I entered into this career as a way to heal the suffering, isolation and pain in my own heart. I have worked in a variety of capacities supporting vulnerable populations who may not receive support with conventional models of health care services. In my work, I’m driven by witnessing people alchemize their pain into healing, love, equanimity, and connect deeply within themselves and with the people around them.
