Rachel Cooper, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Columbia MO
I work collaboratively and at a pace that supports safety, choice, and inner coherence. Whether preparing for a psychedelic experience or processing life transitions, we create a personalized plan that may include:
Preparation
• Establishing inner resources for safety
• Identifying intentions (heartfelt desires)
• Working with parts who feel hesitant, afraid, or protective
• Nervous system grounding and embodiment skills
• Setting expectations for altered states of consciousness
During Non-Ordinary States (KAP)
• Maintaining a trauma-informed, non-directive presence
• Offering light guidance when needed (breath, somatic cues, IFS prompts)
• Supporting emotional expression and capturing your insights
• Ensuring physical and psychological safety
• Collaborating with your medical provider for dosing guidance
Integration
• Mapping insights to your parts system
• Translating symbolic or somatic experiences into daily life changes
• Supporting meaning-making, grief, repair, and nervous system settling
• Developing practical tools, rituals, or lifestyle adjustments
• Continuing trauma processing with IFS, somatic work, or EMDR-informed care
Clients often describe sessions with me as grounding, emotionally spacious, and deeply human. My goal is always to help you reconnect with your authenticity and feel empowered in your healing path.
’m Rae Cooper (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and integrative healing practitioner based in Missouri. My work sits at the intersection of evidence-based psychotherapy, somatic healing, and spiritual growth. I specialize in supporting individuals who are seeking transformation through trauma-responsive, mind-body approaches, including psychedelic-assisted therapy.
My background includes nearly a decade in community-based mental health, trauma work, nonprofit leadership, and holistic practices. I’m trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR-informed care, iRest Yoga Nidra, mindfulness-based approaches, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I also draw from ancestral healing traditions, nervous system regulation, and somatic modalities to help clients reconnect with their inherent wisdom.
At the heart of my work is a belief: healing happens when we feel safe, empowered, and connected to our inner healer.
