Whether preparing for a psychedelic experience or processing life transitions, we create a personalized plan that may include: Preparation • Establishing inner resources for safety • Identifying intentions (heartfelt desires) • Working with parts who feel hesitant, afraid, or protective • Nervous system grounding and embodiment skills • Setting expectations for altered states of consciousness During Non-Ordinary States (KAP) • Maintaining a trauma-informed, non-directive presence • Offering light guidance when needed (breath, somatic cues, IFS prompts) • Supporting emotional expression and capturing your insights • Ensuring physical and psychological safety • Collaborating with your medical provider for dosing guidance Integration • Mapping insights to your parts system • Translating symbolic or somatic experiences into daily life changes • Supporting meaning-making, grief, repair, and nervous system settling • Developing practical tools, rituals, or lifestyle adjustments • Continuing trauma processing with IFS, somatic work, or EMDR-informed care Clients often describe sessions with me as grounding, emotionally spacious, and deeply human. I’m Rae Cooper (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and integrative healing practitioner based in Missouri. My work sits at the intersection of evidence-based psychotherapy, somatic healing, and spiritual growth. I specialize in supporting individuals who are seeking transformation through trauma-responsive, mind-body approaches, including psychedelic-assisted therapy. My background includes nearly a decade in community-based mental health, trauma work, nonprofit leadership, and holistic practices. I’m trained in Somatic Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR-informed care, iRest Yoga Nidra meditation, mindfulness-based approaches, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I believe deep healing happens when we feel safe and empowered to be in Self-leadership.
1. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) For individuals/couples/group clients who have completed medical screening/evaluation to be prescribed ketamine I am able to offer the following (for individuals, couples, or small groups): • Preparation sessions • Harm Reduction/Guide Service during dosing sessions • Integration Sessions • Harm reduction resources for intention-based microdosing protocols for clients with medical clearance • Ketamine-assisted EMDR/IFS trauma processing • Collaboration with your prescribing clinician for continuity of care. 2. Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy/Harm Reduction For individuals/couples/groups engaging in psychedelic experiences outside my office, I offer preparation and integration support, including~ • Nervous system regulation • Embodied inner-child work • Trauma-informed grounding and resourcing • Somatic tracking and breathwork • Yoga Nidra for deep rest, recalibration, and parts connection • Intention-setting • Addressing challenging or unresolved material • Bringing meaning, grounding, and coherence to the journey • Developing a long-term integration plan 3. Group Work & Community Programs I facilitate group offerings out of my office's community studio, Willow Grove, where folks can experience healing in community, an essential component for integration and long-term change.
