Sabrina Sierra, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Oakland CA
People often find me when they are ready to confront painful dynamics from childhood, or perhaps feel called to heal intergenerational trauma within their lineages. My approach centers compassion for the ways that each person learned to survive, and I hold space with great curiosity and respect for your experience.
Instead of prescribing my own values onto you, I encourage your connection to your guiding principles, intuition, and authenticity. Through this process, my hope is to tend new pathways of growth, allowing you to continue to adapt beyond just surviving and towards thriving.
Sabrina was born and raised in the Bay Area and identifies as mestiza or multiracial with recent generations of her family immigrating from the Philippines and Guatemala. Outside of her family of origin, she's found community through participation in DIY & QTPOC arts and music scenes and activist groups. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Sabrina worked in education and youth development. She enjoys bringing a playful, caring nature to working with the inner children of adults.
In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Sabrina also offers clinical training and organizational consultation on psychedelic-assisted therapy and working with diverse populations through a trauma-informed, social-justice oriented frame. Some current and former teaching/consultation clients include: Alchemy Community Therapy Center, California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), The Psychedelic Health Equity Initiative (PHEI), Open Mind Collective
