Sarah Trivett, MCP
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Vancouver BC
I use a creative blend of internal family systems (parts work) and somatic therapies to support people to connect to themselves and others with curiosity, compassion, and clarity. My approach to sexuality is sex-positive, non-pathologizing, and pleasure-centered. Many of my clients are queer, non-monogamous, or kinky and I aim to provide an inclusive space for anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with self, others, and spirit. Additionally, I bring an intersectional feminist lens to my work, which means I'm mindful of how power operates in the world and in the therapy relationship. My intention is to create a space where the operations of power are made visible and welcomed into the discussion.
I am Sarah Anne, and my pronouns are they/them. As a settler of English and Scottish heritage, I call the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations, colonially known as Vancouver, BC, my home. Professionally, I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Somatic Therapist and Consent Educator. I'm currently completing the training requirements with Therapsil to become an approved Psylocibin-Assisted Therapy provider, treating patients through Health Canada's Special Access Program. I have also worked as a Night Attendant on the MAPS MDMA for PTSD clinical trials. Outside of work, you’ll find me playing with clay, drinking tea mindfully, wandering in the woods, taking a dance class, and reading books.
