Clinical Psychologist and Principal
Gold Coast QLD
Shai offers in-person appointments from Conscious Mind Centre’s Coomera clinic on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Telehealth appointments may also be available for clients located elsewhere in Australia where clinically appropriate.
Clients may work with Shai for trauma-focused psychological therapy, Medicine-Assisted Therapy preparation and integration, psychedelic preparation prior to independently chosen lawful psychedelic experiences or retreats overseas, or psychedelic integration therapy following an experience.
For clients considering Medicine-Assisted Therapy through Conscious Mind Centre, the journey begins with appropriate clinical screening and suitability assessment. Where appropriate, Shai may support clients through psychological preparation, Medicine-Assisted Therapy sessions, integration, and ongoing psychological care.
For clients seeking psychedelic preparation or integration outside a clinical Medicine-Assisted Therapy pathway, Shai provides psychological support focused on readiness, safety, expectations, emotional preparation, and making sense of experiences within the broader context of the client’s psychological health and ongoing therapeutic work.
Shai Hipperson is a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Conscious Mind Centre on the Gold Coast, Queensland, with a particular clinical focus on trauma, Medicine-Assisted Therapy, psychedelic integration therapy, and psychological preparation for psychedelic experiences.
Shai works with adults experiencing trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, chronic illness, chronic stress, and emotional distress. Her clinical experience spans private rehabilitation, university clinic settings, and private practice, including the preparation, facilitation, and integration of legally regulated Medicine-Assisted Therapy.
Her approach is warm, compassionate, trauma-informed, and integrative. Shai works collaboratively with clients to understand their experiences within the broader context of their nervous system, relationships, physical health, environment, personal history, and life circumstances.
Shai provides psychological preparation and integration support for adults participating in legally regulated Medicine-Assisted Therapy in Australia. She also works with people who have independently chosen to participate in lawful psychedelic retreats or experiences overseas, providing psychological preparation before the experience and integration therapy afterwards.
Psychedelic preparation may include exploring psychological readiness, expectations, intentions, relevant trauma history, emotional regulation, support systems, potential vulnerabilities, and planning for integration following the experience.
Shai also supports adults following difficult, confusing, destabilising, or adverse psychedelic experiences. This may include experiences associated with psychedelic use, clinical trials, breathwork, meditation, or other altered states. Her work prioritises psychological safety, grounding, stabilisation, and clinical containment while helping clients process what occurred and consider how the experience relates to their broader psychological wellbeing and ongoing therapeutic work.
