I see therapy as a way of facilitating connection and growth. My goal is to empower clients to learn and apply skills to meet themselves more deeply and continue their work even after completing therapy with me, in order to live more fully and authentically. In psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, this involves a psychospiritual approach in setting intentions, sitting in ceremony for the dosing session, and in reviewing integration practices. I believe in each client's inner healing capacity and aim to help them identify and clear blockages in order to reclaim their power and evolve into the selves they would like to be.
I have worked extensively with those who experience acute psychological distress and struggle with emotion regulation from a sex-positive, person-centered, trauma-informed lens. I completed my doctorate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York and have worked in hospital, counseling service, and private practice settings. I have over a decade of experience helping clients develop a better understanding of themselves while facilitating improved coping, insight and personal growth.
As a certified Psychedelic Practitioner, I currently provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based approaches, in my practice. I have also worked specifically with first responders and those holding multiple minority identities (LGBTQ+, polyamorous, kinky, POC), providing culturally competent care. In this vein, I also provide trainings and consultation to other clinicians in learning how to be more culturally competent working with sexual minority groups, as well as with psychedelics.
I am also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), serving currently as Co-Chair of APA Division 44's BDSM Task Force. I also belong to the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I identify as a leather lifestylist and am a seasoned member of the kink community who has been active over the years through mentorship, co-hosting events, and providing kink education.
