Psychotherapist at Wellness Embodied
New Paltz NY
I work with clients in person or via telehealth. My preferred setting for group work is in the outdoors. My Mid-Hudson Valley Men's Groups are often held around the fire.
My life mission is to rekindle connection to the mystery and magic of our lives. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University at Albany and I hold a B.S. from the University of Vermont where my focus was on exploring the relationship between a healthy human psyche and a vibrant natural world. With more than a decade of experience working closely with transformative nature programming for youth and adults, I see the more-than-human world as a valuable ally in the healing process. I have more than ten years’ experience facilitating men’s groups and life-changing men’s weekends with the ManKind Project where I am a Leader in Training. In addition to my clinical studies, I have been a longtime student of yoga and meditation. I received my yoga teacher certification in India where I studied traditional forms of Ayurveda and ashtanga yoga. I also trained in two cohorts with the Elat Chayyim Advanced Meditation Program. I believe mindfulness and our embodiment can play a central role in our healing.
