The Pearl Psychedelic Institute
Waynesville NC
We offer some sliding scale prices for our KAP program as well as our Psychedelic Integration services. We take BCBS, Aetna, MedCost and Cigna insurances and can provide a superbill to clients for other insurance carriers. We tailor our interventions to the unique needs of each client and partner with them throughout the process.
Our clinic is a non-profit that offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in both individual and group formats. Our KAP program provides an in-depth intake assessment, a medical screen and preparation sessions that are customized to each client's needs and presentation. These can all be done online or in-person and these services are currently covered by BCBS, Aetna, MedCost and Cigna insurances. We will soon also have Medicare and United Behavioral Health coverage. Our 3 hour KAP sessions must take place at our clinic location in Waynesville and we provide in-session support as well as medical monitoring and the final 60-90 minutes is devoted to initial integration work. The actual KAP sessions are out of pocket costs since insurance carriers will not cover ketamine sessions. The follow up integration sessions can be done online or in person and they too can be billed to insurances. If we do not take your insurance, we can issue you a superbill that you can submit to your carrier for possible partial reimbursement, dependent on your plan.
We also provide psychedelic integration services to help people that have had a psychedelic experience on their own or with others or with an "underground" provider and are struggling to make sense of it. We take our time to get to know the client and their history and then we explore their psychedelic experience(s) with them to help them with making meaning of them and then how to integrate this knowledge into their everyday life.
We also provide pre- and post-session/ritual coaching to help adults who have made the decision to try working with a psychedelic be as safe and prepared as possible. We take a harm-reduction approach and while we do not overtly condone or encourage self-exploration with psychedelics without clinical supervision, we realize there are people who want to experience these states and hopefully gain something positive from them. We want to make sure they are prepared and safe in order to get the most out of their experience.
