I still LOVE in person clients. I maintain an office and, even during the thick of Covid, I was seeing clients. Out of necessity and ease of accessibility, virtual works well too.
I take a very curious and non directive role in therapy. I am not the expert in anyone's life... even my own half the time! I am a loving space holder and allow natural processing. Sometimes, that involves tools that I have. Many people come to me feeling stuck and their best thinking is just getting them in a rut. My goal is to help them find a path out of that. Psychedelics are SUCH a shortcut!!!
I am Terri! I am a Montana native transplanted to Florida, so I value simplicity and community, but even more-- SUNSHINE!
My career has taken me on a path that includes becoming specialized in Trauma. I got trained in EMDR, followed by continuing to Certification. In the past year, I have also gotten a Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate. I have worked with mostly women with trauma histories as well as folks from the LGBTQ community. Additionally, my practice has focused a lot on unpacking and unlearning religious ideologies that no longer fit or have caused more trauma.
My personal journey led me to psychedelics several years ago for spiritual growth. A little history-- I have been clean and sober for 20+ years, so many years ago I had dabbled in whatever "drugs" were available. I got pregnant at 19 and my life took a drastic change, including sobriety. Several years ago, I started to see information regarding the mental health benefits of psychedelics resurfacing. I have since been to several Ayahuasca retreats, including in Colombia with indigenous healers, as well as doing my own Ketamine treatment. I also used Huachuma, as guided by a shaman, to microdose coming off of 20 years of Prozac.
I feel so recharged and excited to continue working with clients therapeutically in the psychedelic realm.
I do traditional mental health therapy where I can bill insurance.
I offer out of the box and non traditional services, too, including sitting with medicine, which for now includes Ketamine which is legal and accessible.
I offer pre/post ceremony (or treatment) prep and integration.
I offer EMDR and am open to EMDR intensives.
