I work with clients on a weekly basis for therapy and psychedelic integration, and also offer KAP (ketamine assisted therapy) sessions through Journey Clinical.
I have been endlessly fascinated with the human psyche and relationships for as long as I can remember. Through my 20s, I was personally suffering deeply in ways I didn’t fully understand. I found myself caught up in an emotionally toxic and abusive relationship, which at the time I never imagined someone who thought of herself as a strong, independent feminist would end up in. I realized that being a victim of abuse is not something that just happens to “weak,” or “naive” people. Rather it is something can happen to anyone, as a result of our early programming and attachment styles. When I finally broke free from that relationship, I had a lot of work to do to heal, rebuild my self-esteem, and find myself again. After trying out various jobs, which weren’t fulfilling my soul, I realized that my true calling was to help others who were struggling.
My life’s path eventually led me to get my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. While at Antioch I participated in one of the country’s first LBGT specializations, where I learned about the unique and complex history and struggles of the LGBT community, and how to work with an LGBTQIA+ affirmative approach. I also had the very fortunate opportunity to travel to Japan and France to study the ways in which Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, and the practice of meditation, can be integrated with western schools of psychology to improve mental health. Those experiences greatly inform and influence the work I do with my clients. My personal work with psychedelics has transformed my life for the better, and provided relief and inner peace that I once never dreamed possible. To be able to assist others on their own personal path to healing and spirituality, brings me immense joy , humility, and gratitude. I am on a never ending quest for learning, self-discovery, and growth, so that I am at my best for the clients I serve.
